Blind Walk (2025)
17.9 x 20.9 | Oil on Canvas
Blind Walk deals with the presence of a looming danger within a space. Blindfolded figures pass by it with indifference, eventually getting scratched and wounded. Through this work, I wanted to reveal the consequences of choosing to ignore a clearly visible threat. The figures and background are painted in muted blue tones, creating a calm yet numbing atmosphere, while the sharp red mass at the center draws the eye through strong contrast. This juxtaposition highlights how distinctly the danger exists—and how, despite its clarity, people continue to turn away. Ultimately, the work reflects on how the things we try to avoid are often the very ones that end up hurting us.
